Linda Goldman, CMP, Vice President
Linda brings to the table an impressive management career in the meeting and event industry and the performing arts. Since joining HGP in 1997, she has helped to produce conventions, conferences and special events across the U.S. for audiences from a few hundred to several thousand.
In a previous life, Linda managed seven seasons of the internationally renowned SummerFest La Jolla Chamber Music Festival featuring such artists as André Previn and Emanuel Ax; was General Manager of the Hartman Theatre in Stamford, CT; and served as a development consultant to the Yale Repertory Theatre.
In New York, Linda company managed more than a dozen Broadway shows including They’re Playing Our Song, Ain’t Misbehavin’, Athol Fugard’s Master Harold and the Boys, Michael Bennett’s Ballroom, Twyla Tharp Dance, and Children of a Lesser God (also its national tour and Spoleto, Italy engagement).
Linda’s community involvement includes serving on the Boards of the San Diego Chapter of Meeting Professionals International (MPI), the San Diego Performing Arts League and the award-winning Malashock Dance Company. In 2008, she was honored with the SDMPI Visionary Award for continual service in a leadership capacity and significant contributions to the success of the chapter. In 2001, Linda earned her CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) designation.
