2016 CA STEM Symposium – “Designing our Future”

Audience:

3,000 Educators and Students

Challenge:

Elevate the environment and execution of general and breakout sessions of this exciting and informative event featuring more than 250 presenters sharing their best STEM education practices, knowledge, and ideas

This was HGP’s first year to provide support to this annual symposium which elevates the importance of access to high-quality STEM learning for California’s 6.3 million students. HGP’s roles included design of the Anaheim Arena main stage, support of an impressive roster of keynote speakers, and AV support of the 100+ breakout sessions, a “Social Wall” and the Makers’ Place Stage. We ended the week grateful, inspired, and looking forward to future successful symposia.

"Thank you to your entire team. Your partnership and professionalism from the start was impressive and helped make the Symposium such a success"

Project:

National Sales Meeting

Audience:

250 Sales and Support Personnel

Challenge:

Create the look and feel of a real boxing ring in a hotel ballroom

HGP was tasked to realize our client’s creative vision which was inspired by the MGM Grand’s Boxing Arena coupled with the company’s strategic focus on the “Final Round” for this meeting.

In a low-ceiling ballroom, we built a boxing ring and enhanced it with an announcer’s mike that dropped from the ceiling, stools and spittoons for the boxers (who opened the meeting with a knockout round), and dramatic lighting. The audience was seated in risers that we built to conform to the shape of the ring, giving everyone a close-up view of the action, from pro-boxers sparring to executive presentations to new product reveals.

Given the attendees’ expectation of a “business-meeting-as-usual” ballroom setting, when they entered our boxing arena, the “wows” were audible and the high-energy vibe held for the three days.  Our team was delighted when hotel personnel keep sneaking into the room to see the “real boxing ring” they had heard so much buzz about over our week’s stay.

Golf Company National Sales Meeting

Audience:

200 Sales Reps

The HGP team made it to the 19th Hole after an invigorating week supporting one of the world’s iconic golf brands at their National Sales Meeting.  The dawn-past-dusk agenda included general sessions and breakouts, an all “red” party to reinforce one of the company’s brands, and a kickoff event on the USS Midway featuring a skydiver and the always impactful Afterburners. We always enjoy playing with this fun and creative group of high achievers.

"Thank you again for the fantastic job you and your team did for us at our sales meeting. The feedback from the sales organization was that it was our finest meeting to date. Your effort and execution were a big part of the success!"

Project:

Leading Auto Service Conference at the Orlando World Center

Audience:

1,000+ tire industry franchisees and managers

Challenge:

Unite and engage four separate tire brands at a merged convention

With a “Get Your Game On!” theme, we transformed a huge empty ballroom in Orlando into a full-on sports arena, complete with stadium seating, interactive competitions, ESPN-like sports desk, and thrilling entertainment. Click here to see some of the opening session action.

"HGP is amazing. The first program they did for us blew the roof off of the place, with our CEO calling it the convention that would set the stage for all conventions. This year’s convention was for a smaller group with a smaller budget. I was concerned at first that we wouldn’t have the same wow factor. That worry was quickly put to rest as HGP rolled out their ideas. It was a home run!"
