Sunrider International 2017 Gala

Audience:

1,000 Attendees from 30+ countries, speaking multiple languages

As the culminating event of the week-long Sunrider International 2017 Grand Convention, and to celebrate the company’s milestone 35th Anniversary, we produced the original Gala Show, “The Best of 35 Years.” This momentum-building showcase of world-class talent, supported by a 29-piece onstage orchestra, featured the entertainment genres that have proved the most popular with Sunrider audiences over the past three decades. For 75 minutes, attendees from 30+ countries around the world were dazzled with extraordinary performances, appealing to a wide range of taste and cultures, and virtually dialogue-free.

Nominated for the Gala Awards given by Special Events magazine, the premier industry publication, “The Best of 35 Years” is being recognized as one of the finest works in special events worldwide. Members of the magazine’s Advisory Board, made up of leaders in the event profession, reviewed all entries to determine the nominees and will announce winners in February 2018.

"The best Gala in our entire history! Everyone was amazed at the caliber of talent. We keep getting comments like, 'I loved every minute of it!', 'That entertainment was over the top!', and 'The gala evening was perfect and a great way to end a fabulous convention!'"

Kyoto Prize Symposium Gala Dinner

Audience:

University, community and international leaders

Since 2011, HGP has been honored to produce the Kyoto Prize Symposium Gala which annually serves as the distinguished opening event for a week of presentations and workshops by three Kyoto Prize Laureates, world-class innovators in technology, science and the arts. At the Gala, college scholarships are awarded to six students from San Diego and Tijuana who meet with the Laureates and leaders like Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, QUALCOMM founder Irwin Jacobs and the Mayor of San Diego.

To honor the Kyoto Prize Laureates at the Gala, HGP presents stellar musical performances of many genres. Each year, we engage artists who help express a throughline for the evening such as overcoming challenges; promoting diversity, and showcasing outstanding performers from the KPS sponsor universities.

"What a superb Kyoto Prize Gala - The best in all our years! “Wow!” seems to be the operative word. Let’s do it again next year!"

Executive Director, Kyoto Symposium Organization

Annual President’s Club Recognition Event

Audience:

600 Top Achievers

Challenge:

Produce an exciting yet cost-effective awards event aboard a cruise ship at sea

HGP designed and produced a fully-customized yet cost-effective awards program by strategically using the ship’s onboard talent and resources. In advance of the event, on their one day in a U.S. port, Harris Goldman interviewed the ship’s performers, band leader and technicians to evaluate talent resources and how to best rehearse and perform a custom awards event at sea, without conflicting with regular cruise line duties. One month later when the honorees boarded the ship, so did just one cabin’s worth of HGP personnel. Aside from heavy seas which threatened to topple the crystal awards, it was smooth sailing, and then on to the next year’s program in Puerto Rico…

Annual Convention Awards Banquet in Dallas

Audience:

1,000 Female Direct Sales Company distributors

They laughed, they cried, they swooned, and in the end, they all felt like the shining stars of the event’s “Stars Shine Bright” theme. We carried forward the Texas-inspired theme for Close to My Heart’s awards evening by presenting the handsome and talented Texas Tenors throughout the program and giving all winners yellow roses. We transformed the general session’s scenic look to awards elegance with chiffons, crystal beads, dramatic lighting and glittery stars. And we worked with CTMH on scripting and transitions to ensure that ALL in attendance, not just the winners, were engaged throughout.

"Awesome! This was the best production experience we've ever had - everything went so smoothly and you made us look so good. And thanks for making us feel like we're your only client."

Creative Communications Manager, Close to My Heart

SIR (Society of Interventional Radiology) Foundation Gala at the iconic Hotel Del Coronado

Audience:

Physicians and Researchers in Interventional Radiology

Here’s what the Foundation’s Executive Director had to say:

"When looking at event partners, we found that HGP offered us the most creative event concepts, incredible experience, flexible and scalable staffing resources, and quite simply, the most complete package in event planning services. Our complex event included a gala, live auction and silent auction, video production and coordination of multiple vendors. Not only did HGP deliver a premier event for us, but also added special touches to make the experience memorable - our guests and VIPs loved it! From the event planning and day-of execution, to negotiating the hotel contract and menus, to the vetting and hiring of talent, to professional handlers for our speakers, to the production of an entertaining video the night of the event, and help with closing out our finances – HGP was with us each and every step of the way."
